Adopt a Domestic Short Hair / Tabby / Mixed (short coat)

Hello there!  Thank you for wanting to know more about me!   I was rescued with some other felines on Dec. 11, 2017!  There were a lot of cats coming and going from where I came from, and the mama cats tried very hard to feed us and keep us warm, but we were pretty much starving and freezing in an old mobile home!  Thankfully Last Hope Animal Rescuers came to take us to a better life just in the nick of time!

I am one of 7 kittens and 2 mama cats rescued that day, and my foster mom wondered... what shall we name these adorable babies??  And before too long, we were named after the 2017 Baseball World Series Champions... the HOUSTON ASTROS and many of the team players on that championship team!  Since then, we have been called 'the Houston Astros kittens.'  So let me introduce myself...  My name is
Astro
and the rest of the kittens are Houston, Altuve´ (Al-TOO-Vay), Reddick, Springer, Yuli (YOU-lee) and Gurriel (GRR-ree-el!)  We aren't sure if the mama cats are our real moms (with so many cats coming and going) but they were nursing somebody, so they came with us to our foster home!  Houston and Reddick went with a mama kitty named Correa to a different foster home, and we 5 other kittens stayed with a mama named Liriano ...we all just LOVE our mamas!!

I really like my name, Astro, and I even come when my foster mom calls me!  As you can see, I am an extremely handsome Orange Tabby and White shorthair boy!  I came in pretty skinny and not feeling well at all, but my foster mom took real good care of me and I'm doing great now!  My two brothers (I think) are Houston and Reddick - we look so much alike and none of the others look like us, so I think that must be true!  I stayed with the other kittens when we were rescued though, because I was a sickly, so Houston and Reddick went with Correa to a new foster home.  If you look real close - my foster mom thinks I have ANGEL WINGS across the back of my shoulders!  Seriously!  It looks like God placed cute little orange tabby mini angel wings on me!  Maybe that's why I'm such a sweet and heavenly boy!

I am a real laid back lover boy, too!  I do love to play hard with my furry friends, but I also love the attention from my foster mama, too - and anyone else who wants to pick me up, snuggle, cuddle and love on me!  I love to rub legs, and my foster mom has almost tripped over me a couple of times - but I just love being near her!  I also PURR and PURR real loud ALL THE TIME!  I'll probably enjoy any kitties you already have in your home (if you introduce us properly) and a real nice small dog they call Yogi (he must be named after another baseball player from another team) comes to visit us all the time and seems very curious about all of us C.A.T.S.  I am always purring and trying to rub up on Yogi, but he's a little afraid of me, I think!  But I just like him and want to be friends!!  I think I might like a dog if you have one... IF he's very nice to me! Kids will probably will be great, and anyone else who wants to hold me and pet me - and just LOVE me - would make me the happiest kitty EVER!  Are you looking for a handsome kitten like me?  I can hardly wait for my OWN FAMILY to find me and take me home! Maybe that will be YOURS (or YOU!)

And... if you don't have any other pets for me to play with, there is a saying my foster mom seems to always say ... "Until there are none, please adopt one; So they aren't blue, why not adopt two?"  I really love my mamas' and Altuve´s eye color, but I don't want anything about me 'blue', so I would love to be adopted with one of the kittens I was rescued with, since we know each other real well!

Astro
is about 14 weeks old as of Feb. 8.  Astro was neutered on Feb. 8,  tested neg. for Feline Leukemia, has had 2 FVRCP vaccinations, his rabies vaccination, a Revolution parasite treatment, and is also microchipped, which has a lifetime free registration..  Baring anything unforeseen, he should be able to be adopted on 2/13/18 - just in time for Valentine's Day!  His adoption fee will be $100.00!
